This event will be run under BHS Riding Club Rules
2008
edition.

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence
of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither
the organisers, nor Fair Oak, nor any employee nor any person acting on
their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or
illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other persons or cars
and contents or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence,
breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

The organisers and owners of Fair Oak have taken reasonable
precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone who uses the
course. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable
care to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the rules and
instructions from officials.

Hats - BSI Kite marked PAS 015 or BS EN 1384 or ASTM F1163
(with SE1) must be worn at all times when mounted, with the chinstrap
fastened. Back protectors (current BETA recommended) must be worn on the
Cross Country Course. Medical Armbands are compulsory for cross country.

Entries:
No entries will be accepted over the phone. In the event of cancellation of
the competition prior to the day all entry fees will be refunded less £3 to cover expenses on
receipt of a SAE within 14 days. Should the organisers have to cancel the
event on the day for whatever reason then NO REFUND will be given. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel
and / or amend any of the classes / sections as they feel fit and to refuse
any entry without giving a reason. Entry fee less £5 will only be refunded
if withdrawal is notified to the secretary by 6pm Thursday 22nd May and is supported by a veterinary certificate or a doctors
certificate within 7 days. Entries will be done on a strictly first come
basis and a waiting list will be held in the event of over-subscription to
any section and any fees will be returned if withdrawals do not occur. All
horses must have a current flu vaccination certificate.

If eliminated during the Cross Country, competitors may
complete the course, but must move on to the next fence and make the way clear for any following horse
for the rest of the round and
the rider must obey any instructions or orders from officials. In the
interests of safety if a second elimination takes place the rider must not
carry on and must leave the course at a walk.

Times
: Competitors are responsible for checking their times for this event.
Times will be given for all classes and will be posted on our website www.fair-oak.co.uk
from Friday 23rd May 12pm and from 2 pm.on Saturday May 24th at the Secretaries
tent for those walking the course. Otherwise please phone for times Friday
May 23rd between 6pm and 9pm on 01730 821508 or 821073.
Please Note: Failure to report to the tack inspectors or starter at the
correct time, will risk elimination.

SIC
will be on site to provide Pre-Hospital treatment during this event if
required, all competitors confirm that they are fit to compete in this event
and that they consent to any treatment which may be given, advised or
offered by the SIC trauma team. A medical armband must be worn when using
the cross country course.

A £2 returnable deposit is required for the numbers,
please bring the correct change.

Any objections must be made to the Secretary in writing
within 10 minutes of the scores of that section being posted and must be
accompanied by a cash deposit of £20 which will be returned if the
objection is sustained. Video Evidence will NOT be accepted in support of an
objection.

The course can be walked the day before the event between
2pm and 6.00pm. NO DOGS ALLOWED

Please do not muck out horse-boxes on site and please take all litter home
with you

All horse boxes and Trailers must turn left when leaving and go via South
Harting without fail.
